Mobile Omnidirectional Neutralization and Termination Erradicator

All through out that Apples to Apples game, I thought about what the sharpest thing was that I knew Alvin would like. I ended up saying Swiss Army Knife but in reality, I was thinking about the initials of MONTE from BBT.

But yeah, not a big deal. :D
Not that many things have happened in the past few weeks. My dad’s been away in China and Japan so it’s just mom and me at home. I’ve been stretching and running daily trying to get healthy again. Sadly, I’m not sure how well it’s working since I don’t seem to be losing weight. There have been a few tennis games and a few chess games. Overall, I’m just relaxing and wasting time around the house. The day to day events that actually count for anything are usually written in Prateek’s Blog since I seem to be doing most of these with him. If we weren’t together, then I was probably doing what was previously mentioned in this paragraph.

The stream of movies haven’t stopped either. I’m watched many more, but my recent stuff are anime series. I finished PoT and Code Geass again, both of which are awesome (Oh, I started sketching characters from these two anime too :D). Let’s throw a few quotes:

This one is from A Walk to Remember. Amazing movie and very sad. I think this quote speaks for itself, I really don’t need to add on to it.

“Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons spock, spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves spock, spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.”
I rewatched pieces of the two seasons and thought I might type this one out for those of us that didn’t memorize it before =P. Again, speaks for itself. And helpful for explaining our shirts?

“You have to lose some fights to win.”
This is an ancient philosophy. But watching an ex Co-op Agent telling it to a 12-year old boy regarding the latter’s bully issues seemed to make this quote much more personal. After a bit of thought, I suppose this doesn’t just refer to physical fighting. Showing weakness and not being stubborn and hardheaded about being “right” has its social advantages. Like Sheldon’s mom says, “It’s okay to be smarter than everyone else, but it’s not okay to point it out.” Making friends and building relationships are a lot easier when you’re not dead-set on coming out on top. Certain situations require a give-and-take attitude.

“False tears are capable of hurting other people; false smiles are capable of hurting one's self.”
I think this one is one of C.C.’s quotes. I think this particular line is true for me as well for many others around me. When something truly troubling comes along, don’t shrug it off. Talk to someone.

“Do you know why snow is white? Because it forgot what color it is.”
I forget where this is from, but doesn’t it sound like one of those philosophical things that Shellzy might say in a joking manner? :D.. My personal thought regarding this quote is that no matter how we change ourselves, we will always remain who we are (confusing.. meh..). I mean, like, people are bound to change slightly with the passage of time, but certain qualities will never change. My inability to keep my eyes open when I smile is one as well as my uncontrollable urge to look around me and observe things. With a snowflake, no matter what color it is, the overall structure will always remind us that we are looking at a snowflake. I believe that’s true for people as well.

I really like the image that this created in my mind. I bet this was worded much better in Japanese though.. I wish I could understand it >_<. Happiness is always easier to see in someone else’s perspective; how I wish that wasn’t true.. xD

I just realized how preachy the quote section is.. -__-. So from now on, you guys can ignore it. These quotes are just for me since I have a very limited memory. I want to look back on this summer and remember some of the lessons that I learned.

Oh I did have something more things to say!
-Last week was the first time I saw a shooting star. But what was cool was that I saw two of them when most of the people only saw one. I felt really lucky/special. :D
-Have you guys ever tried to actually breed in pokemon? It’s like REDICULOUSLY impossible. I knew about the whole happiness thing, but incense? Egg groups? Chain breeding? What the crap? I always thought that ditto + any pokemon was as hard as it got.. but man was I wrong.
-Letters!!! You three know who you are, though only two of you have blogs that I’m following. Thank you very much for the decorated “story.” Definitely one of the cooler things I’ve gotten in the mail. And yes, this “loser” will write back =P (I promise this time Anqi!)
